‘The Pitt’ star Noah Wyle makes bombshell statement about Baby Jane Doe

Noah Wyle has settled the debate regarding the inclusion of Baby Jane Doe in the third season of The Pitt.

For those unaware, the sophomore season of HBO’s procedural medical drama television series was concluded with Wyle, who played Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch, a senior attending physician at the Pitt, and Baby Jane Doe, who was the center of attention.

The final scene of Dr Robby, as well as the season’s final scene, showed him holding the baby, as the infant was found in the bathroom at the start of the shift.

While conversing about his shattered mental health and suicidal thoughts, Wyle revealed in the scene, “I got abandoned too when I was 8. But I got through all of that and so will you.”

“I got a good feeling you’re going to be just fine. Everything’s going to be just fine. You’ve got so many wonderful things to see and so many people to love ahead of you,” he said.

It is pertinent to mention that the scene concluded without teasing anything regarding Baby Jane Doe’s future.

In a talk with PEOPLE magazine on the red carpet at the Time 100 Gala in New York City on Thursday, April 23, Wyle articulated his thoughts about the baby, saying, “I think we’ve got to bring her back.”

“At least in season 20, as a new nurse,” the 54-year-old American actor and television director jokingly added.

The Pitt, which dropped its first season on HBO Max in 2025, aired the final episode of the second season on April 16, 2026. The series has been renewed for a third season; however, the creators have not yet revealed the exact release date.
