It is being reported that Willie Nelson has been consumed by fear about his retirement from music amid his United States tour.
An insider told Radar Online that Nelson always thinks “he will die if he’s not performing and entertaining a crowd” but he is now shaken by the fear of quitting music as he turns 93 on April 29.
The iconic American singer and guitarist performed in North Carolina on April 28, a day before his birthday, and now he is preparing for his shows in New Braunfels and Waco.
Even though he is trying his best to entertain his fans, his body is asking him to slow down due to his advancing age.
The source told the outlet, “He’s frail, can’t stand straight and must perform sitting down. He even breathes with difficulty.”
People close to Nelson are forcing him to bid farewell to music, especially touring, but he has been telling them that he is “not retiring.”
“He needs his fans as much as they need him. His wife, Annie, and eight kids mean the world to him — but Willie’s first love was always his music. It keeps him going,” stated the insider.
