Actor weds in private Mumbai ceremony under Special Marriage Act with family, friends present

Indian actor Aamir Khan married his long-time partner Gauri Spratt in a private ceremony at his Mumbai residence, a spokesperson for the actor confirmed, according to Gulf News.

The agency reported that the couple opted for an intimate wedding under the Special Marriage Act, choosing to celebrate the occasion at home in the presence of close family members and a small circle of friends.

Among those present were members of Khan’s family including his sisters, his son Junaid, daughter Ira, and his youngest son Azad Rao.

According to Gulf News, Khan and Gauri first met around 25 years ago but eventually lost touch. They reconnected in Bengaluru in 2024 through the actor’s cousin Nuzhat Khan, and their friendship gradually developed into a long-distance relationship.

The couple’s marriage marks Khan’s third. He was first married to Reena Dutta in 1986, with whom he shares Junaid and Ira. The couple divorced in 2002 but have continued to co-parent their children.

The actor later married filmmaker Kiran Rao in 2005, welcoming Azad Rao in 2011 through surrogacy. The couple then announced their separation in 2021. Despite their divorce, Khan and Kiran have maintained a cordial relationship and continue to collaborate professionally while co-parenting their son.

On the professional front, Khan continues to head Aamir Khan Productions and remains one of Bollywood’s most influential filmmakers and performers.
