Alia Bhatt graced the opening ceremony of the 79th Festival de Cannes embracing old-world Hollywood charm in a custom Tamara Ralph gown. Styled by Rhea Kapoor, Alia Bhatt’s appearance after a stunning 2025 debut last year, celebrated her love for understated glam.
Every element in Alia’s Cannes 2026 red carpet style celebrated her love for keeping it minimal yet timeless. The silhouette comprising a strapless gown with a sculpted bodice, was further enhanced with a delicate chiffon scarf. Thus, adding a hint of Bollywood Queen-energy to her first Cannes 2026 red carpet appearance.
Alia Bhatt’s timeless gown was complemented with the Golconda Rosé necklace from Amrapali. Handcrafted in white gold, the necklace features 168.27 carats of rare pink coral, 5.53 carat Golconda Type 2A diamonds, and 20 carats of finely set diamonds. Blending heritage artistry with modern elegance, the piece reflected the exceptional skill of Jaipur’s master craftsmen. Alia completed the dazzling necklace with earrings and rings from Chopard.

Alia Bhatt’s first look in Cannes was a celebration of Indian crafts and couture. Alia Bhatt who made her Cannes debut last year paid homage to the French Riviera in a hand painted silhouette envisioned by celebrity stylist Rhea Kapoor and brought to life by Yash Patil of That Anitquepiece and artist Basuri Chokshi.
Alia exuded fairytale romance in the silhouette inspired from the 1950s. Yash’s creativity came to life in a sculpted corset-style bodice and a voluminous skirt adorned with multi-coloured tulle detailing realised in sharbati dyed silk organza and tulle petticoats. The enticing crafted corset bodice came with angular, structured cups that beautifully matched the style energy of the era.
Alia complemented her serene artisanal style with Chopard yellow diamond jewellery. Alia’s artistic look was further enhanced with a fabric handbag designed by Meera Mahadevia. The soft pastel bag matched her dress and came with custom embroidery which read as: “To Cannes with love, ABK”.
Celebrating Alia Bhatt’s natural beauty through her statement makeup artistry, is celebrity makeup artist Puneet B Saini.
As the global ambassador of L’Oréal Paris, Alia Bhatt returns to Cannes for the second consecutive year.
