Kalyani Priyadarshan made her debut at the 79th Cannes Film Festival. The actor, fresh off the success of Lokah Chapter One: Chandra, is representing India, especially the South Indian film industry, on the global stage.
For her debut, the actor wore a stunning structural gown from IRTH. The dual-tone custom gown had a lot of sequins embellished on it, which added to its shimmer and glitter. The form-fitting gown had a purple element running in the middle with black at the sides, giving it an hourglass figure.
But the element that stole the show was the reverse necklace that the actor wore on the red carpet.
Kalyani Priyadarshan is the brand ambassador for Kalyan Jewellers and has also made her debut as the global brand representative. She wore a custom diamond necklace to the Cannes Film Festival.
Kalyani Priyadarshan wore a bespoke Kalyan Jewellers couture creation that reinterpreted the classic lariat as a sculptural back-jewel. A lariat is a long, unclosed necklace or chain that you loop around your neck. The ends usually dangle at the front, often weighed down by beads or decorative elements.
Crafted in 14K white gold, the piece featured a 52-carat pear-shaped blue sapphire, two 15-carat pink morganites, and 945 natural diamonds in marquise, brilliant and princess cuts. The design added a dramatic and fluid element to her red carpet silhouette.
She kept the remainder of her look simple but chic. Her hair was styled in loose waves and placed to the side so as to show off her stunning back jewels. The actor wore bright pink lipstick and a matching pink manicure. She added a few rings and diamond drop earrings for accessories, also by Kalyan Jewellers.
In conversation with The Hollywood Reporter, Kalyani Priyadarshan reflected on her jewellery and how many hours it took to make the stunning piece. She shared, “The jewellery took many, many days and many, many man-hours to make. It was a custom-made piece from Kalyan Jewellers. It’s a beauty.”
