Global Village Dubai Season 30 Resumes Operations After Temporary Shutdown: ‘We’ve Missed You Too!’

The countdown has finally ended for millions of fans. After a period of “closure until further notice” that kept the city guessing, Global Village has officially confirmed its return. On Saturday, April 18, the destination’s Instagram handle lit up with the message everyone was waiting for: “We’ve missed you too! Global Village is back!”

Why Was Global Village Dubai Closed?

The popular multicultural park had temporarily paused operations as a precautionary safety measure amid regional tensions. During this time, several other outdoor attractions across the UAE also reviewed their schedules. While fans were left wondering when Season 30 would truly begin, Global Village maintained a stance of “safety first” until the green light was given this weekend.

When to Visit

The park will officially resume operations on Monday, April 20th, at 5pm. Moving forward, the destination will follow its standard daily timings from 5pm to 12am.

What to Expect in Season 30

Global Village, part of Dubai Holding Entertainment, isn’t just reopening—it’s returning with a massive lineup. Having welcomed over 100 million visitors since its inception in 1997, the new season promises:

  • 30 Cultural Pavilions representing over 90 countries.
  • 250+ Dining Options for the ultimate food crawl.
  • 3,500+ Retail Outlets for global shopping finds.
  • 200+ Rides and Games at the iconic Carnaval.
  • With a record-breaking 10.5 million visitors in Season 29, the reopening is expected to see a massive surge in footfall as residents and tourists flock back to Dubai’s favourite seasonal hotspot.

Slot Squeeze, Price Hike: Dubai Restricts Foreign Flights To One A Day

Dubai is currently navigating a delicate balancing act. Amid escalating tensions linked to the Iran conflict, Dubai authorities have officially restricted foreign airlines to just one daily rotation until at least May 31, 2026. This capacity cap, communicated via official notices to carriers, is a direct response to the operational strain caused by the regional war.

While the move is intended to manage congested “safe corridors,” it has created an “uneven playing field,” according to the Federation of Indian Airlines (FIA). While home-grown UAE giants like Emirates and flydubai have managed to restore much of their network, Indian carriers like IndiGo, Air India, and SpiceJet (which traditionally dominate this route) are facing forced cancellations of hundreds of scheduled flights.
