Indian Railways launches first Bharat Gaurav Tourist train to Nepal: Route, fare, itinerary and what travellers should know

In a bid to boost cross-border tourism, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has introduced its first-ever Bharat Gaurav tourist train which will connect India to Nepal. Known as the “Pashupatinath Nepal Darshan Yatra”, this special train is perfect for cultural and spiritual explorers as it will take travellers to Nepal’s some of the most iconic destinations including Kathmandu, Pokhara and Chitwan National Park. IRCTC introduced the Bharat Gaurav trains to promote theme-based tourism circuits across the country. This is the first time that time train is extending its service to Nepal. The initiative is expected to boost tourism ties between India and Nepal.Here’s everything you need know about the upcoming trip:Trip duration and departure dateAs per IRCTC’s official website, the journey will begin from Indore on June 12, 2026.
