Priyanka Chopra Jonas created a fashion moment when she strutted down the ramp as Meghna Mathur in the 2008 movie Fashion. The single scene has and continues to create a significant impact on aspiring models and fashion enthusiasts alike.

So when content creator Ankush Bahuguna got the opportunity to walk the ramp at Lakmé Fashion Week 2026 for Line Outline by designer Deepit Chugh, he took inspiration from the OG herself, actor Priyanka Chopra.

Ankush Bahuguna is known for his distinctive voice in the beauty and digital space, and he has fearlessly showcased his love for fashion and makeup through his content. Despite being trolled on several occasions and facing an avalanche of hate, the creator has consistently put himself out there, balancing his comedy skits and beauty tutorials.

On the third day of the four-day fashion week that took place in Mumbai, Ankush Bahuguna was one of the first shows that took place. He was dressed in a sharp, all-white ensemble featuring structured tailoring and fluid layers. His look was equal parts modern and expressive, and his confident walk, understated styling and natural ease on the ramp translated seamlessly on camera, with his reel from the show receiving an outpouring of love for its aesthetic and attitude.

Ankush Bahuguna used the iconic “Meghna, walk” audio from the movie Fashion, which originally featured actor Priyanka Chopra Jonas, when sharing the content online. While it garnered a lot of love online from his followers, as it was both nostalgic and culturally resonant, the major highlight came from the actor herself.

Taking to her Insta Stories, actor Priyanka Chopra Jonas gave her stamp of approval to this moment. She reposted the video and wrote, “@ankushbahuguna you’re a much better Meghna!”

Responding to this major validation from the Bollywood actor, Ankush Bahuguna wrote, “The OG Meghna approves! Going to walk around saying “Mujhe Panache ki nahi, Panache ko meri zaroorat hai” now (sic).”

Speaking to us on the sidelines of the fashion week, Ankush Bahuguna shares that the “shivering has finally stopped” after he walked the runway. He added, “I feel a huge sense of relief because I was so nervous before the show. But I think it went fantastically well and I really enjoyed myself on the ramp.”

Ankush Bahuguna has become somewhat of a regular on the ramp at Lakmé Fashion Week after he made his debut back in 2023. Ask him how he feels, and the content creator says, “It feels like a full circle moment because I remember when I had just entered the industry, and I used to be a [fashion] writer, I used to run around looking for passes so that I could get that one look at fashion week from the inside. So from there, where I was contacting so many people to get one pass so that I could watch a fashion show in real life, to actually opening for a designer like Deepit, I think that is emotional.”
