As April comes to an end, it brings with it a powerful spiritual window that many devotees wait for. The last Pradosh Vrat of the Vaishakh month falls on April 28, 2026 (Tuesday)—a rare combination known as ‘Bhaum Pradosh’.

What Is Bhaum Pradosh?

When Pradosh coincides with a Tuesday, it is believed to amplify the blessings of Lord Shiva. Add to that the worship of Lord Hanuman, and the day becomes especially significant for those seeking relief from financial stress, health issues, or astrological challenges.

Bhaum Pradosh is considered more impactful than other Pradosh days, especially for those dealing with long-standing problems.

The most important window is the Pradosh Kaal—the time around sunset. This is when worshipping Shiva is considered most effective, and this year, the timing aligns with rare yogs believed to enhance the impact of prayers.

How To Observe The Fast

The vrat begins with a simple intention—start your day with a bath and a clear sankalp. Most people follow a light, fruit-based diet throughout the day.

In the evening, perform a Shivling abhishek using panchamrit—a mix of milk, curd, ghee, honey, and sugar. Offer bel leaves, dhatura, white sandalwood, and whole rice while chanting “Om Namah Shivaya” or reciting the Shiva Chalisa.
