Tara Sutaria has officially made her grand entrance at the Cannes Film Festival 2026, delivering a masterclass in cinematic style for her debut on the French Riviera. For her day-one appearance, Tara opted for a striking black-and-white creation by Helsa Studio. The gown features a deeply structured sweetheart neckline and a monochromatic palette that feels both timeless and fresh under the Mediterranean sun.
The silhouette is defined by a fitted bodice that flows into a voluminous, tea-length skirt accented with delicate lace detailing at the hem.
Styled by Tanvi Ghavri, the ensemble was curated to “romanticise fashion again” through classic Old Hollywood motifs. She wore oversized, statement pearl drop earrings from Viange Vintage, which provided a luminous glow against her soft, voluminous waves. Adding a touch of “Riviera cool,” she paired the gown with sharp YSL cat-eye sunglasses and a chic Dior bag. Classic pointed pumps from Jimmy Choo completed the polished look.
The entire debut was a play on light and shadow, with Tara posing against mirrored backdrops, emphasising the “structured silhouettes” and “cinematic moments” her team sought to create.
Sharing photos on Instagram, the actress wrote, “Thrilled to be invited to Festival de Cannes and to be honoured at the Red Sea Film Foundation’s Women in Cinema Gala. Tomorrow eve is a big moment! Stay tuned..😉 Until then, some moments from day one.. ✨”
