Steve Webber, the beloved character from General Hospital played by Scott Reeves, is set to return home after serving over a decade in prison.

In a recent interview with TV Insider, Reeves reflected on the emotional experience of stepping back onto the set.

“It felt like a homecoming,” he described. “I arrived on the first day early in the morning, and it was surreal driving up to Prospect Studios and going through the guard gate. From the moment I entered, I couldn’t help but think, ‘Wasn’t it just a week ago that I left?'”

Reeves character Webber had been locked up for 11 years after his truth came to light that he took the life of a comatose young man—who was serving a life sentence for murder—to save a 14-year-old girl in need of a life-saving transplant.

“Steve did his time and has been out for a few months now, living in Sedona, Arizona, trying to start anew,” Reeves offered insights into Webber’s life post-prison. “He lost his medical license when he went to prison, but he feels justified in his actions.”

Notably, Webber was first introduced as a baby in 1977, the grandson of one of General Hospital’s original characters, Steve Hardy.

After a long absence from the show, the character was revived by Shaun Benson in 2004, with Reeves taking over from 2009 to 2013.
