Abby Elliott calls it quits with hubby Bill Kennedy after decade together
Abby Elliott and Bill Kennedy have parted ways after nearly 10 years of marriage.
According to TMZ, The Bear actress filed for divorce from the TV producer on Friday, July 17.
She listed their date of separation as July 8 in the filing, as per court documents obtained by the outlet.
The 39-year-old star cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for her separation from her husband of nearly 10 years.
Abby is also seeking joint legal and physical custody of their two children – Edith, 5, and William, 3.
For those unversed, the SNL alum first met Bill on the set of Sex Ed.
Abby later told The Knot that she soon fell in love with the TV producer, who proposed to her in October 2015 with his grandmother’s ring.
“It was really beautiful and he was traditional and got down on one knee,” she shared at that time.
“It was just very simple, but lovely and wonderful,” Abbey added.
The two exchanged vows in New England the following year in front of 200 guests.
For the event, Abbey wore a Leanne Marshall wedding dress while Bill opted for a blue suit.
“I thought I was going to go with a bohemian style, something a bit different,” she said. “I ended up with something opposite.”
