Benny Blanco admits to unexpected phobia as he travels to see Selena Gomez: ‘Things we do for love’
Benny Blanco is going the extra mile to reunite with his wife, Selena Gomez, by crossing the Atlantic Ocean on a boat instead of flying.
The music producer, 38, shared a TikTok video from the middle of the ocean, revealing he is traveling by sea because of his long-standing fear of flying.
In the clip, Blanco joked that he was traveling “across the Atlantic in the Titanic” to see Gomez, adding in the caption, “The things we do for love.”
Gomez has been in London since May filming the latest season of Only Murders in the Building. During her time abroad, she briefly returned to New York to attend the wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce before heading back to the UK.
The couple have also shared sweet messages while spending time apart. In June, Gomez posted photos of the two together on Instagram, writing that “distance means so little when someone means so much.”
Blanco has spoken openly about his fear of flying before.
During a 2024 appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, he revealed that he regularly travels to Europe by ship instead of plane.
He also recalled watching the movie Titanic with Ed Sheeran while crossing the Atlantic, joking that the ship’s crew even pointed out the area where the famous ocean liner sank.
Blanco and Gomez married in September 2025. The producer is also preparing to release his new album, Hermoso, on August 14, with his latest single, Joven y Salvaje, already available.
