George Clooney has confessed that as he is getting older, “it’s weird” to watch him on screen.
The Oscar winning actor, who was recently honored at the 51st Chaplin Award Gala for his work in the industry, opened up about watching his movies with his twins, Ella and Alexander, 8, whom he shares with his wife Amal Clooney.
He told People at the award ceremony that it’s now “hard” for him to see how he looked during his younger years.
”It’s a weird thing. As you get older, it’s hard to watch movies when you were younger because you’re like, h*******, that doesn’t even look like me anymore.”
However, there is one movie he watches with his kids; 2009’s Fantastic Mr. Fox.
”You know, I’m watching because I’ve got 8 year olds, I’m watching Fantastic Mr. Fox, which is a little easier because it’s not really me, it’s just my boys,” the doting father noted.
He also admitted that watching movies is now a “fun” activity with his twins as they are now recognizing Clooney’s work.
Clooney concluded, “That’s kind of fun because the kids are slowly figuring out what I do for a living.”
In a previous chat with W Magazine, Clooney revealed he showed his son Alexander his Batman movie.
”Halloween’s a big holiday. My son went as Batman. He hadn’t seen Batman yet,” Clooney told the outlet of his 1997 film. “I always say to him, ‘You know I was Batman.’ He’s always like, ‘No.'”
