Jennifer Aniston and Jim Curtis are currently in the throws of planning what sources call a “sacred commitment ritual” rather than a marriage, deep inside the California desert.
News of this has been brought to light during a chat with Woman’s Day and saw this friend of the star admit the ceremony itself will be “deeply personal and non-traditional” and is being dubbed “an intimate sacred soul union” in Ojai, California.
For those unversed, “Ojai’s always been a place Jen’s loved and she’s been there countless times,” the pal explained. “She loves its spiritual energy and peaceful vibe.”
Moreover, “Reese [Witherspoon] had a huge estate there for years so there’s a real cosy celebrity scene with plenty of hippie-chic, bespoke ceremonies happening all the time.”
When it does take place the friend explained, “this is going to be more of a conscious commitment ceremony than a wedding.” Reason being they want “something meaningful” that “reflects who they are now” and Jen has been very clear that after two divorces, she’s ‘done’ with what she calls the ‘traditional model’, the ‘big white dress’, the pre-nups and “all the pressure.”
So this time around “they’re keeping the details very private as they finalise what they’re calling their ‘soul union’ celebration,” the friend said before finally signing off.
