Pippa Middleton returned to the spotlight after her sister Kate’s announcement about her cancer diagnosis.
Pippa wore a blue floral jumpsuit by Claire Mischevani for her first public appearance since Kate announced her cancer diagnosis.
The 40-year-old also carried a J.Crew ‘Rattan’ straw clutch bag, which is also owned by Meghan Markle. Meghan was seen with the bag while attending a polo match to watch Prince Harry in 2018 when they were still working royals.
Pippa’s appearance at Wimbledon on Friday comes just one day before Princess Kate, 42, faces an important decision.
Kate has been the patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club since 2016, a role that includes awarding the Wimbledon trophies to champions and runners-up each year.
However, her attendance this year is uncertain due to her undergoing chemotherapy for cancer.
Earlier this year, Kate stepped back from royal duties following major abdominal surgery and has made only one significant public appearance in 2024.
She attended Trooping the Colour in June to celebrate King Charles’s birthday parade. The royal is currently waiting for her doctor’s advice on whether she is fit enough to attend Wimbledon this weekend as part of her preventative chemotherapy treatment.
Neither Wimbledon nor Kensington Palace are expected to provide an update on Kate’s attendance before Saturday.
However, the Palace did confirm earlier that Kate would not attend a polo match at the Guards Polo Club in Windsor, Berkshire, where Prince William arrived alone to participate in a charity match honouring the late Rugby League legend and MND campaigner Rob Burrow.
