Tom Segura and Christina P: What happened between the comedians before divorce?

Tom Segura and Christina P. have separated, ending their 18 years of marriage. Although TMZ reported that the spilt, which happened within the last couple of months, is completely amicable, it has received mixed reactions of sympathy, criticism and shock from fans on social media.

The comedians and podcast hosts got married in 2008 and have two sons, Ellis born in 2016 and Julian, born 2018.

TMZ reported that they had a special and productive relationship, creating one of the most successful comedy podcast networks in the industry and, more importantly, two kids. They are taking different paths moving forward while remaining devoted to their children.”

However, internet is filled with all type of theories about why the couple might have decided to part ways after spending nearly two decades as wife and husband.

Many social media users suggested that Tom’s recent weight loss and increased fame contributed to the separation.

“Tom gets a tv show and leaves his wife. Saw that coming.” “He got a glow up. She got cancer and a mastectomy. They split up. Hmmm. Seems like a story I hear a lot,” wrote a user.

Christina’s battle with cancer and a mastectomy is also cited as a potential factor. Another wrote, “Tom losing weight and her having cancer, those are double whammys for a man actually staying with his wife. Not surprising at all.”

Some noticed a change in Tom’s behavior on their podcast, “Your Mom’s House,” indicating underlying issues. “Yeah he started get pretty ambivalent towards her on their podcast.”

News of their divorce comes after Tom Segura’s show “Bad Thoughts” received an Emmy nomination for outstanding comedy, drama or variety series.

Tom and Christina did not respond to a request for comments, TMZ reported.
