Celebrity chef Ranveer Brar recently shared four delicious cold coffee recipes that range from the classic favourite to indulgent caramel and banana-infused versions. The recipes are easy to prepare and require ingredients commonly found in most kitchens.
Homemade Caramel Sauce – Before making some of the coffee variations, prepare a simple caramel sauce.
Ingredients: 100 gm sugar, tbsp water, ¼ cup fresh cream
Method: Add sugar and water to a saucepan and stir well. Let the mixture cook for a few minutes until it turns into a rich golden caramel. Remove from the heat and carefully mix in the fresh cream. Stir until smooth and set aside to cool.
Classic Cold Coffee: A creamy and frothy drink that’s perfect for coffee lovers.
Ingredients: 2-3 tbsp hot water, 2 tbsp sugar, 1 tbsp instant coffee powder, 2-3 ice cubes, 1 cup milk, 2-3 tbsp fresh cream, 1 scoop vanilla ice cream
Method: Combine hot water, sugar, coffee powder, ice cubes, and milk in a blender. Blend until the mixture becomes light and frothy. Add fresh cream and vanilla ice cream, then blend again for a smoother texture. Pour into a glass, top with an extra scoop of ice cream and a light dusting of coffee powder before serving.
Banana Cold Coffee: This version combines the sweetness of ripe bananas with the richness of coffee.
Ingredients: 2 ripe bananas, 2-3 tbsp prepared caramel sauce, 2 tbsp instant coffee powder, 1 cup milk, 4-6 ice cubes
Method: Place bananas, caramel sauce, coffee powder, milk, and ice cubes in a blender. Blend until creamy and smooth. Pour into a serving glass, add extra ice if desired, and finish with a sprinkle of coffee powder.
Dalgona Cold Coffee: Inspired by the viral whipped coffee trend, this recipe delivers a café-style experience.
Ingredients: 45 gm instant coffee powder, 90 ml hot water, 45 gm sugar, 1 cup milk, 2-3 ice cubes
Method: Whisk together coffee powder, hot water, and sugar using a hand blender until thick, airy, and fluffy. Transfer the mixture to a container and chill in the freezer for several hours. Fill a glass with milk and ice cubes, then spoon the whipped coffee mixture on top before serving.
Caramel Dalgona Cold Coffee: A richer version of dalgona coffee with the added sweetness of caramel.
Ingredients: 2-3 ice cubes, 1 tbsp prepared caramel sauce, 1 cup milk, prepared dalgona foam
Method: Add ice cubes and caramel sauce to a serving glass. Pour in chilled milk and stir gently. Finish by topping the drink with a generous layer of dalgona foam. Serve immediately for the best taste and texture.
