Bitcoin Price Today, November 18: The cryptocurrency market is witnessing a massive sell-off, even as Bitcoin has plummeted below the $90,000 mark. The world’s largest crypto traded at $89,390 in the afternoon today, Tuesday, the lowest level since April. Analysts said ETF outflows, whale-driven short positioning, and thinning liquidity have turned a routine correction into a deeper drawdown.
Apart from Bitcoin, the Ethereum price also lost the strongly held support at $3000, confirming the beginning of a bearish phase. BNB slipped below $900, Solana heads close to $130, Dogecoin is trading around $0.15 and Cardano is close to $0.45. Meanwhile, XRP stands strong above $2.11 and Chainlink trades above $13.11.

However, the cryptos have recovered a bit till 2:30 pm. Bitcoin is currently trading at $91,185.74, giving the world’s largest cryptocurrency a market capitalisation of about $1.82 trillion. Over the past 24 hours, Bitcoin has seen trading activity worth $116.36 billion, with prices slipping 4.52% during the period. Bitcoin has fallen over 15% in the past week and cracked over 33% from its October all-time high, amid profit-booking, slower ETF inflows, and temporary macro uncertainty.
Avinash Shekhar, co-founder & CEO of Pi42, said, “Crypto market has entered a phase where sentiment, structure, and psychology are colliding as Bitcoin trades near $90,000, putting the four-year cycle debate back at the centre of every conversation. ETF outflows, whale-driven short positioning, and thinning liquidity have turned a routine correction into a deeper drawdown. Ethereum is also struggling and XRP’s profitability has dropped to yearly lows, signalling uneven pressure across majors.”
The real question now is whether this slide marks the early signs of a crypto winter or whether the market is clearing the path for an eventual rebound. The next few sessions will reveal whether caution tightens its grip or whether buyers finally show up with conviction, he added.
According to CoinDCX Research Team, “The crypto winter has begun as the Bitcoin price marked an intraday low of around $90,250, levels not visited since April. With this, the Ethereum price also lost the strongly held support at $3000, confirming the beginning of a bearish phase. BNB slipped below $900, Solana heads close to $130, Dogecoin is trading around $0.15 and Cardano is close to $0.45. Meanwhile, XRP stands strong above $2.11 and Chainlink trades above $13.11. The gainers for the day include Internet Computer with over 11.73%, followed by Filecoin by over 5.5% and Hyperliquid by over 3%. On the other hand, Starknet plunged by over 20%, followed by Dash and Zcash by over 15% each and Pump.fun and Decred by over 13% each. The overall market sentiment has dropped to extreme fear.”
As the BTC price plunges, Strategy buys another $100 million worth of Bitcoin, holding a total of 649,870 BTC. DappRadar, one of the popular crypto analytical platforms, shuts down, citing financial strain after seven years. In the meantime, BTC futures flip negative for the first time since March as internal flows surge and market correction deepens. On the other hand, 4 XRP spot ETFs are expected to launch this week, with 3 more in the next 21 days, which is expected to keep the price stable amid the volatility, it added.
